March 27, 2008: 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals Denies New Trial for Mumia Abu-Jamal

In a scandalous decision coming more than ten months after the May 17, 2007 Philadelphia hearing on the case of Mumia Abu-Jamal, the 3rd U.S. Court of Appeals confirmed the 2001 lifting of Abu-Jamal's death sentence, but denied him a new guilt phase trial.
